1. Data Collection and Usage

Meals-ai collects and stores your account identity, inventory, dietary preferences, allergies, fitness inputs, recipes, and shopping lists. This data is securely stored on our backend (Supabase), linked exclusively to your authenticated account, and isolated using Row Level Security (RLS).

2. Third-Party AI Services

To provide smart fridge scanning and meal planning, we utilize third-party AI services:

• OpenAI: Images of your fridge are forwarded to OpenAI for analysis. We have explicitly disabled request storage (store: false), meaning OpenAI does not use your images to train their models, and we do not keep raw images on our servers.
• Apple Speech: Voice recognition uses Apple's Speech framework. Audio may be processed by Apple, and Meals-ai only receives the resulting text transcript.

3. In-App Purchases

We use RevenueCat and Apple's in-app purchase systems to manage subscriptions. We store purchase metadata to grant you access to premium features, but we do not process or store your payment information directly.

4. Tracking and Analytics

Meals-ai does not include any advertising identifiers or third-party tracking SDKs. We log events locally on your device for functional purposes, but we do not sell or share your data for advertising.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data as long as your account is active. Deleting your account will instantly cascade and delete all associated records, including inventory, preferences, and lists. Local device files are excluded from backups and removed upon sign-out or account deletion.
